Find love in quarantine: How to maneuver social life during COVID-19 time?

The Pandemic of Covid-19 has changed our social life. While the outer world is changing so does our social life. Anyway, forming new relationships is just as important during lockdown. Even during quarantine, people want to make new friends and hope to find love. Quarantine is one of the main reasons for the recent unprecedented rise of dating apps and websites. So, is it possible to find love in quarantine, based on digital communication only? How can you build new relationships during Covid-19?

Tips to find love in quarantine

Start by focusing on yourself

Before looking for a perfect partner or that special BFF, you want to make sure that you are perfect for yourself first.

There will always be someone who can’t see your real value. But don’t let it be YOU.

This might be your time to let go of those who doubt you or underappreciate you. It is much easier to find love and meet new friends when you know that you matter AND know what you want.

I know from my own experience that ending dead-end relationships and letting toxic people leave my life has only created space for new exciting friendships and partners. People start to appreciate you ONLY IF YOU understand that you value yourself and know that you are #1. So, before you search for that one true love, make sure that you truly love yourself.

Dating apps … It’s time to slow down and start COURTING through online dating:

Looks like the world of dating apps and websites has long been preparing for a world of the lockdown.

Online dating services now face their spotlight moment. Eventually, there are two possible mindsets when it comes to online dating – those who use dating apps such as Tinder and those who don’t.

Either way, Covid-19 has altered the dating world as it has brought back the art of courtship.

In other words, Covid-19 has created a sense of slowing down. People are spending more time connecting on an emotional, intellectual and spiritual level before even meeting in person.

I had previously rushed into getting engaged to a man that seemed great on paper but things never worked out. When I eventually met my husband-to-be, I decided to take things slowly so that we can get to know each other. While we found creative ways to date without rushing into physical contact, we simply enjoyed spending more time together.

For where there is a will, there is a way.

My husband and I enjoyed courting as we gained more respect and admiration for each other. Nowadays, due to Covid-19, when a couple chooses to meet for the first time after courting through online dating, they already know each other on a very important emotional, intellectual and spiritual level.

Be honest and direct … and show who you are:

Generally, online dating offers benefits that don’t exist in many social settings.

For example, starting a conversation through messaging can be easier and often less stressful than in person.

Therefore, an introvert may be reluctant to socialize in person but can become more uninhibited through online dating. When communicating through messengers, we have more freedom to choose our own pace and topics of conversations.

However, no matter the topic, a successful courtship needs honesty. Dating apps and websites are a tool to show the real amazing YOU. So, if social settings make you nervous, online dating can be a perfect solution.

Whether you are an introvert or shy, let the world of online dating bring out the best in you and the real you. Enjoy, relax and be yourself. Remember, that special person is looking for you right now.
